Dear Friends, We have issued the construction contract for the Phase I of expansion to Excel Constructors. Soon you will be seeing the start of the construction activity. We have been delayed some what due to so many requirements that must be satisfied prior to securing the building permit from the City of Shawnee. Phase I will cost about $1,325,000.00. In this phase the entire building will be erected including all outside walls and the roof. Parking lot, Side walks, landscaping, storm water drains, sewage drains, and all utilities to building will be finished. All underground plumbing will also be installed. Phase I is expected to be completed by April 15, 2006. All the inside work, that is, walls, ceiling, lighting, heating and AC, etc., will be completed in Phase II. During Phase II, connection between the existing Temple building and the new expansion will be made and the Temple lobby will be remodeled to replace the existing rest rooms with Manager’s office and Navagraha. We need to raise additional funds prior to committing for Phase II. Fund raising committee, under the leadership of Hasu Doshi is actively working to reach everyone in our great community for their generous donations. On behalf of all the members of the Temple Expansion Committee, I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to the building fund.
