Community Events & Programs
Hindu Temple and Cultural Center
of Kansas City (HTCC)is actively involved in several community
events and programs that provides a platform for every member
to socialize, educate, exchange and share the legacy from India.

Akhand Ramayan:
KCSunderKand group organizes the chanting of AKHAND RAMAYAN PATH,
(to recite non stop) the entire Ramayan, on Ram Navmi Day. Click

Anand Mela:
An annual event organized by HTCC where it brings a distinct flavor
of all the Indian cultures and regions. A program packed with
fun, food, music and games is held in fall. Please signup

Bal Vihar:
BalVihar is a forum for teaching our children about the Hindu
Religion, Culture and history in our temple premises. Our BalVihar
in Kansas City is a free framed model with easy to follow curriculum.
This program is organized by Hindu Temple of Kansas City. It serves
the needs of the Indian community with over 50 students in and
around Kansas and Missouri States. ....more
Hindi Class:
With the help of Ms. Swapnam Kumar and other volunteers Hindi
Classes are conducted at the temple for children, ages seven and
up, on Sundays from 11 am to 12 pm. The class include instructions
on basic reading and writing, with an emphasis on speaking. Click

KC Ayyappa Seva Sangham:
Ayyappa Seva Sangham organizes the bhajans on every second/third
Friday of the month (to recite saranu ghosha and namavali). The
main objective of the group is to bring Ayyappa Idol to the temple
to take his blessings and also to help the devotees during mandala
pooja and to organize Makaravilakku every year. Click

Shri
Shirdi Sai Baba Bhajans: Every Thursday bhajans
followed by Shej Aarthi at 8:00 PM
Soup Kitchen:
A monthly (last Monday of the month) event to feed the less fortunate.

at (913) 491-1969 for participation or contribution. Everyone
is encouraged to participate.
Sunday Lunch:
A Family & Temple Sponsored Lunch on Sundays. All proceeds
from the sale of te lunch is donated to the Temple. If you are

Yoga:
Yoga is a family of ancient spiritual practices originating in
India. Every Sunday morning 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM, yoga classes
are held in the temple hall. If you are interested to join, please
see Guruji in person on Sunday.
